I have a tree spot in my front yard, and I like to buy a Japanese maple. The spot is full of sun during sunny days. Does anyone know is any Japanese maple sun tolerates?

I have tried hard to grow a Japanese maple, twice: unsuccessful! Spoke to a friend who told me sandy soil is favoured to the Japanese map. I think sun (too much) would cause problems to the tree as well, but not so sure.

I think the sun is not a major issue, but soil and water: sandy soil is perfect for Japanese Maple and need to keep moisture within the soil that requires watering almost every day particularly in hot days.
