I have recengtly purchased a license of GWV6. Pretty new to the software as I am, I started to follow the tutoral manue to learn how to set up a model and do the simulations. Followed the manue step by step, and completed the set up. But the the model wont run for some reasons, which I have found out.

Would you discuss with me here if you have experience on this regards.

First you said you have found out the reasons... I suspect you wanted to say "I haven't found out ..."

Regarding the software, GWV6, I have had similar problems. I have recently worked out some issues in their TUTORAL MANUAL. They recommended to use the CALCULATOR for creating datasets and running MODFLOW engine, it won't work. You need to do the following steps:
1) go to MODEL/MODFLOW/CREATE DATASETS
2) go to MODEL/MODFLOW/RUN MODFLOW

The model will run without problems. Let me know if you have any issues if you do the above steps.

thanks.

I have found out that before hit calculator with a upside down sign I need to click on calculator first to create datasets. after that, the model can be run. It is quite clear now.

I really like groundwater vistas now.
