It's very easy. See the following example:

            <img src="http://open.thumbshots.org/image.pxf?url=http://bettereducation.com.au/DreamHome/"
                alt="site preview" class="thumbImg" border="0" />

It will capture the screen shot of the home page. The deep link url can be specified, but the thumb image remains at the root level.
