Minimum Requirements
To be successful in this Brisbane based role you will hold tertiary qualifications in soil science, environmental science or geology with a background in Acid Sulfate Soil. A detailed knowledge of QASSIT Guidelines and prior consulting experience is essential.

In addition, you will have the ability to lead and direct technical teams, able to work under pressure, without supervision and in project teams, have good client liaison and report writing skills.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Acid Sulfate Soil Scientist to lead Acid Sulfate Soil investigations and manage a variety of exciting projects.

Your main responsibilities include
~ Leadership and management of project teams conducting Acid Sulfate Soil investigations, Management plans and remediation plans. These may be stand-alone projects or form part of EIA, site remediation or land development projects.
~ Project planning, investigation design and implementation, detailed ASS data interpretation, evaluation of management options and design and implementation of remediation or amelioration measures as appropriate.
~ Development of business in Acid Sulfate Soils projects both as stand-alone projects and in conjunction with project managers in other disciplines.
~ Liaise with clients to ensure client needs are met and to develop the business
~ Preparation and/or technical review of reports and other client deliverables to a high technical standard
~ Project management, contract management, proposal and tender preparation
