Boral Limited is a leading Australian building and construction materials company with operations that span Australia, the United States and Asia. The group has an annual turnover of $4.9 billion, almost 15,000 employees and operates from more than 700 locations.

Based at Deer Park and reporting to the Site Manager, the Site Engineer will support and assist in the management of a large, busy and dynamic landfill site including landfill operations, related construction projects and Biogas to Energy Plant. Support will consist of the provision of technical and operational support to the Site Manager, while developing a sound understanding of the Waste Solutions business. The site engineer will also play an active role in assisting the site manager in developing and managing site quality systems to ensure that Boral Waste Solutions continues to be both a good neighbour and provide the highest level of customer service in our sector.

This role offers an enormously diverse challenge and combines a strong technical element with the requirement for a practical understanding.

The successful applicant will be guided and encouraged to work as part of a team to produce site life amortisation calculations and detailed financial reports relating to engineering aspects.
The successful applicant will display:
• Flexible, proactive professionalism with an outcome focus
• Ability to lead teams and other workplace groups
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Superior communication and negotiation skills
• Demonstrable safety leadership and focus
• Sound computer literacy

Experience in tendering civil construction projects or a similar field will be highly regarded, although this role would also suit an individual who has had significant exposure to engineering maintenance, construction or project management. A high level of self-motivation with a desire to remain 'hands-on' is critical to your success in this role.

This is an opportunity to work in a team environment with strong career development prospects, in an organisation dedicated to the safety of its personnel.

If you are an effective communicator, tertiary qualified in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline, with the relevant experience, we encourage you to apply to: boralacm.bigredsky.com
